K9 inspections outperform human inspections.
In field research performed by the University of Florida, the NESDCA-certified canines tested scored a 98% accuracy rate* in detecting the odor of live bed bugs and viable eggs. Visual inspections are estimated to be only 17 to 30% accurate. This is because bed bugs can hide under carpets, in baseboards, inside mattresses and box springs, in electronics, and behind walls--areas that are virtually impossible for a human to inspect without dismantling the room's contents. An immature bed bug can be smaller than a grain of salt. That is not a deterrent to our canines who can detect the odor of bed bugs with virtually no disruption to your home's contents.

"Ability of Bed Bug-Detecting Canines to Locate Live Bed Bugs and Viable Bed Bug Eggs."
We can pinpoint problem areas.
Our certified canines can pick up the scent of live bed bugs in areas that are virtually impossible to detect visually. We work alongside your pest control company to increase detection accuracy. The pest control company will then decide the best course of action and treatment recommendations if necessary.
Post-treatment inspections provide peace of mind.
When our canines perform a search after treatment, they can detect the odor of remaining live bed bugs or viable eggs. Dead bed bugs, non-viable eggs, their cast skins and fecal matter are ignored.
Tell your pest control professional you'd like a canine inspection by a NESDCA-certfiied canine team. Quest K9 Detectives is ready to serve you!
